The 1st 40 Years of Childhood are Always the Hardest | 40 + Fabulous!

40 is the most fabulous age of all, you’re old enough to recognize your mistakes and young enough to make some more!

Betty called me about doing this photo shoot for her 40th birthday and I jumped at the chance, of course! We had organized this day weeks in advance and days before the shoot – as more ideas were thought of…

I can honestly say, I had a hoot with her and even more so – after the shoot – story here can not be told – HA. We started outside initially and then brought it in for a couple more ideas to which, we once again; came up with during the shoot itself. My son has a chalkboard in his play room so we set up indoors and just simply had some more fun there after… I can say now – I am well prepared for any 40th cake smash moving forward… It’s nice that it was my SISTER and it’s even more memorable that we were able to laugh so hard that we had tears rolling down our cheeks. Every day with her is an adventure. We had grande ideas as kids and Lord knows we have them now!

A couple questions I asked her:
What do you do in your free time? What’s free time? With teenagers there is none…

If you could wake up anywhere tomorrow, where would it be? On an island with a cocktail in my hand, sand between my toes.

What last made you laugh? This photo shoot…we had too much fun with it!

How does it feel to be 40? 40 is but a number, my kids keep me young. The best part of being 40, is we did all our best stuff before social media – no tracking! LOL

I’ll be the mom at 60 that has rainbow hair… riding down the street with my training wheels (never learned to ride a bike) and a cocktail in my hand – I say to YOU – eat, drink, be merry and 40! Loving every moment of it.

What were you like when you were a kid? I was a tomboy, jumping fences, kicking boys butts – my mom made me be a ballerina, I took it off and never put one on again – Until TODAY.

What do you think of just turning 40 this week? At the age of 10, we think about how big the world is. At the age of 20, we don’t care what the world thinks about us, At the age of 30, we worry about what it is thinking of us. At 40, i’d say we discover; that it never was thinking of us at all.

“I loved doing this photo shoot, because no matter what my age – I’ll always be young at heart and full of life – 40 is just but a number”.

Happy Birthday Betty!2016-06-23_00022016-06-22_0017 2016-06-22_0016 2016-06-22_0019 2016-06-22_0020 2016-06-22_0018 2016-06-22_00212016-06-22_0005 2016-06-22_0001 2016-06-22_00222016-06-22_0002
